Meticulous Marketer (Freelance)

Ichigoichie is an indie developer formed for the creation of innovative gameplay titles. The directing staff have over twenty years of console game development experience.

We are building a new title that explores the boundaries between art and games and need assistance in spreading the good word.

Your role at Ichigoichie

We are looking for a bilingual marketing assistant who can help either at events in Japan with interpretation and/or with marketing copy translation. Tasks you may perform vary on your experience and the phase of the project, which may include:

• Providing Japanese-English interpretation for game studios at industry events such as Tokyo Game Show
• Translating marketing copy for social media and product store pages
• Interacting with and managing Japanese game influencers

As a member of a very small team you will be working on many aspects of the project.

You have

• Native Japanese writing skills
• Good English communication
• A love of games and sharing them with others
• Broad knowledge of video game marketing and channels

Bonus points

• Experience in music production or theory
• Experience in graphic design

Practicalities

For the interpretation role, being based in the Tokyo metropolitan area is preferred. For English to Japanese written translation, you may work completely remote.
